Několik členů našeho týmu se nedávno zúčastnilo konference ESRS, která se konala v Rize ve dnech 7.–11. července. Andreas Klärner a Larissa Deppisch na konferenci představili příspěvek s názvem „Socio-Ecological Transformation and Its (Dis)Contents – Understanding Political Polarisation in Rural Areas“ (jehož spoluautorkami jsou rovněž Susann Bischof a Franziska Lengerer).
Michał Konopski prezentoval svůj příspěvek „Left-behind and Populist? Electoral Consequences of the Rural-Urban Divide. Evidence from Poland“.
Anna Grzelak vystoupila s prezentací „Is the Urban-Rural Political Divide a Fact or a Myth? Insights from Poland“.
Josef Bernard představil dva příspěvky: „Two Decades of Rural-Urban Divide in Europe: Is the Socio-Economic Gap Widening?“ a „Lilliputian Rural Municipalities: Weak Governance or a Hub for Local Democracy?“
Dva příspěvky přednesla rovněž Anja Decker: „Urban-to-Rural Lifestyle Migrants in Local Politics: Negotiating and Transforming Modes of Governance in Rural Peripheries“ a „How Do Informal Food Producers Sustain Their Practices? Insights from Rural Czechia“.
