A leading member of our team Andreas Klärner was appointed Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences by the University of Göttingen with effect from February 1, 2024. As a habilitated sociologist, Andreas Klärner has been working at the Thünen Institute since 2016, in particular on the topic of poverty in rural areas and the social and political consequences of spatial inequalities.
